Covid19 November Lockdown
Following Boris Johnson’s announcement of the November lockdown, we wanted to update all of our customers about our plans to comply with the government’s rules.
To comply with the government’s instructions the sales department will be closed to physical visits, from Thursday the 5th of November until Wednesday the 2nd of December. However in a change from the Spring lockdown, we are allowed to sell vehicles online, on a “Click and Collect” basis. Our sales staff will be available via email, WhatsApp and phone to speak to if you have any questions about any of our vehicles. Alternatively you can reserve a car, and collect it when the lockdown is lifted, if you prefer.
At the time of writing this update, the government has not published the revised list of “essential” businesses, but we are assuming that as vehicle workshops were allowed to remain open last time, they will again this time. After all, the vehicles that had their MOT extended because of the last lockdown, are now due an MOT as the extensions are ending. We will update this message when we receive clarification from the government.
Our premises have been Covid Secure since we re-opened, but we wanted to remind you of the changes we have put in place to keep our customers and staff safe: Our waiting area and customer facilities remain closed, so please arrange to drop of your car, or utilise our free Collection and Delivery service. We have laid on extra capacity for this service to make life as easy as possible for you. Sadly our courtesy car is currently unavailable, and we are not offering our complimentary Wash and Vac service. Instead our focus is on sanitising the touch points of your car, prior to our staff driving it, and again when we have finished working on it.
If you have a booking, but you no longer feel comfortable having this work completed during this lockdown, please let us know at your earliest convenience, and we will rebook you after the 2nd of December.
We all hope that you understand these decisions, and agree that this is the best thing for us to do. Please stay safe and look out for further news as and when we get it.
